We wanted to let everyone know that we have another special announcement for Kalamazoo Beer Week: $1 off beers for KLOB members (must have your membership card) from 5-9pm on Thursday, January 15th at Bell's Eccentric Cafe. The time is almost here. After two rounds of voting, formulating three custom recipes, and nearly a month of waiting since our brewday, our KLOBeration Oatmeal Stout with Boatyard Brewing Company will be released tomorrow, Monday, January 12th at 6pm at BBC. As hoped, this coincides with Kalamazoo Beer Week so we're hoping for a large, exciting turn-out.
We'll be holding our holiday meeting tonight at Boatyard Brewing Company at 7pm. We'll be featuring a wide selection of beers for the theme "European Essentials". We encourage attendees to bring in dishes and snacks to share. We also want to welcome friends and family that share our passion for amazing beer.

For those of us that have been a part of the club for a number of years, we always look forward to the annual holiday meeting. This is held during our normal monthly meeting in December, which will be next Monday, the 15th. However, we forego a formal presentation in favor of a social gathering and celebration of the previous year.
As we mentioned at previous meetings and newsletters, we are working with our good friends at Boatyard Brewing Company on a special collaboration project developing a beer that will be unveiled during Kalamazoo Beer Week (January 10th - 17th). Our first round of voting narrowed down 34 style choices down to the top 3: Oatmeal Stout, American IPA and ESB. We are now ready to share the recipes created by KLOB and Boatyard.
Today is the final day to submit your entries for this year's members-only competition. They can be dropped off at Tempo Vino Winery in downtown Kalamazoo. Read all the other details on our website:

Entries will be judged this weekend with results announced at the December meeting.
Entries can now be submitted for this year's members-only competition. You can submit 1 entry to any of the 23 major BJCP beer categories with a maximum to 3 total entries. You will need to submit two 12 ounce bottles for each entry. You can drop off your entries to Tempo Vino no later than this Wednesday, December 3rd.
We've had several of your submit your votes for top 3 styles but we want to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to voice their opinion. If you have not done so already, please take a moment to select up to 3 styles you would like to see KLOB brew with our friends at Boatyard and tenatively release during Kalamazoo Beer Week.
