We are just a few short days away this year's celebration of all things beer and barbecue: The 2014 KLOB Roast! For those who have never attended, the Roast replaces our September meeting but is a chance to invite friends, family and co-workers to share in a day of good times, good food and, of course, fantastic libations.
Our good friends at Bell's are once again hosting an exciting gathering for all homebrewers in the area as well as suppliers and vendors with interesting and unique offerings. KLOB will be one of those vendor and we will have our own table alongside the likes of Blichmann, BSG and others. The event takes place this Saturday, September 13th. This is a great opportunity to interact with other craft beer enthusiasts.
Thank you to everyone that attended yesterday's meeting and an even bigger thanks to Jeff Bright who shared his account of a beer geeks guide through Europe while digging into some of the finer points of the Pilsner style. If you have a free moment, please take a few minutes to fill out our survey so we can get some quality feedback and keep improving our meetings and the club in general.
This is a friendly reminder that we will be having our normal month meeting this coming Monday, August 18th at Boatyard Brewing Company. Member Jeff Bright will be covering all the different nuanced styles of Pilsner while recalling a recent trip to Europe to sample them first-hand. This presentation will include club-provided samples. We will begin our announcements and formal presentation promptly at 7pm so make sure to arrive early to get a good seat.
Thanks to everyone who attended this past Monday's meeting. Judging from the packed house, many of you were excited to hear John Mallett from Bell's give his insights on the malting process and how it plays a key role in both amateur and professional brewing. We'd love to get your feedback on John and the club in general through our SurveyMonkey survey:
Thanks to everyone who attended this past Monday's meeting. We have prepared a small survey for the meeting and, in a larger sense, KLOB's involvement in the National Homebrew Conference. Whether you attended the event, attended the meeting or neither, please take a moment to give us your feedback so we can continue improving the club.
