My apologies for sending multiple emails. I wanted to mention a few more details regarding the Great Taste of the Midwest tickets that we will having a lottery for. This is a friendly reminder that we will be meeting tomorrow, March 21st, for our monthly club meeting. This month's presentation will be on Saison and other Farmhouse Ales. Mark O will give a run-down of the aspects of these styles, their history and tips on how to brew worthy examples at home.

Chris, I just made an arrangement to get entries for the National Homebrew Competition driven down to Indianapolis to save on shipping costs. Could you please let the KLOB folks know that they can drop their entries off at the General Store if they are entering, but there are some details:

Alcohol and You

This is a friendly reminder that we will be holding our monthly meeting this coming Monday, February 21st. The presentation will be titled "Alcohol & You" and will be given by Chris Elston. We will discuss the causes and cures of hangovers, "beer gut" and intoxication. The presentation and talk will be light-hearted but informative.

Winter Bus Trip Follow-Up

We are happy to announce that we are sponsoring a bus trip this coming Saturday, January 29th. We will be chartering a bus that will take us to 4-6 breweries and beer bars in the southwest Michigan area. Seating will be limited to 39 people and tickets are $40 in advance. We will be leaving from Old Dog's Pub in downtown Kalamazoo at 10am and returning approximately 6pm.

This is a friendly reminder that we will be meeting this coming Monday, January 17th for our monthly club meeting. This month's topic on the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). This will act as an introduction to judging in general and how the BJCP guidelines serve as a definition for nearly every beer style.

Holiday Meeting 2010

This is a friendly reminder that this Monday, December 20th we will be having our annual Holiday Meeting. The centerpiece will be a hand-select set of Imperial Stouts and Baltic Porters. The location will be different than our regular meetings. We will be instead meeting at the home of Bryan Jennings, owner of Q-It-Up catering company who provide the dinners at our KLOB Roasts. His address is 4454 Olde Forest DR., Kalamazoo. Olde Forest Drive is on the south side of Stadium / Red Arrow, just past the intersection of Stadium Dr. & 4th St.
