Fall Cider Pressing - Sunday, Oct. 15th, 10am-3pm. @ Husted Farm: 9191 W Main St, Kalamazoo.
It's the most wonderful time of the year - if you love cider! Stop by Husted Farms and pick up some freshly pressed cider. Bring your own sanitized pail or carboy to fill up with cider. Two juices to pick from this year: Fall Blend- $4.50/gallon, and traditional English Cider Blend-$6.50/gallon. PLUS, bring some drinks or snacks to share, we'll have a get-together in the apple orchard. Rain or shine event, dress accordingly. We will have another pressing later in the Fall as well.

We'll try traditional German made Oktoberfest beers and sample them next to American interpretations of the style. If you have made your own Oktoberfest beer, bring some to share with the group! In this malt comparison, taste the same pilsner recipe made with three different base malts: Weyermann Heirloom Isaria 1924, Weyermann Heirloom Barke, and Rahr North Star.
If you have any examples of pilsners you have made, bring some for everyone to taste.
